Today myself and a group of health and well-being professionals from the East Midlands took part in a photo challenge being organised by Treetops Hospice, a charity providing respite and palliative care based in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Treetops Hospice helps patients suffering from illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease, and multiple sclerosis, as well as providing support to their families and carers.
Nurses from Treetops Hospice travel throughout the East Midlands region to provide care in peoples homes, as well as providing a day care centre.
All the services that Treetop Hospice provide are free of charge, and the £2 million they require to operate each year is raised mostly through charitable donations.
Treetops Hospice are asking businesses to donate £100 to have their team photographed with Nicholas Bear. The aim is to have 100 businesses accepting the photo challenge. All the photos are being shared by Treetops Hospice on social media, and I believe Nicholas Bear is about to have his very own facebook profile!
