Did you know you can legally steal your competitors traffic? So that when someone goes to www.yourcompetitor.com you can have your site “pop under” the browser window using CPV or “cost per view” advertising.
Unlike CPC (cost per click) advertising, with CPV views to your website are not necessarily initiated by the click on an advertisement. It could be triggered simply by searching for a specific phrase or visiting a certain website.
Users opt-in to receive this type of advertising through ad-suppported software applications and toolbars. This type of application is not to be confused with spyware. Ad-supported applications are always installed with the full consent of the user.
By targeting your competitors website URL you can have your page pop up. Ideally you should create a specific landing page to capture the details of your competitor’s customers and put them into a follow up email sequence.
One PPV network I’ve started getting good results with is DirectCPV who are good because they offer a wide range of targeting options including country, keyword and URL.
CPV advertising can be a lot cheaper than PPC especially if you target URLs because there is often very little competition you can pay the lowest bid price and get excellent costs per lead or costs per conversion (CPA).
