Leads are the lifeblood of any business – but if you don’t have a lot of cash to spend on marketing what are the best ways of generating leads for little or no money?

Firstly you can write articles or have them ghost-written at services such as ELance.com or Freelancer.com. Submit them to as many different article directories as you can. Put your name and website address in the resource box so that people reading the article can come back to your site.

Next take your article and rework it into a Squidoo or Hubpage. You can also post the article to free blogging sites such as Blogger.com, LiveJournal and WordPress.org as well as free press release sites such as PRWeb.com.

The third and final step is to turn your article into a video. Simply use your camcorder or webcam to record yourself giving the same information as in the article and upload it to YouTube, DailyMotion, Viddler etc.

You can simply use the same content and put it in many places to generate a ton of traffic to your main site.

Make sure you do the keyword research using the free Google Keywords Tool to find the right keywords to put in the title of your pages, the headings, and throughout the body text so that your target customers find your information and visit your site.

More targeted traffic=more sales.
